Created during the coronavirus pandemic outbreak, Personal Jesus comprises three elements: sound performance (Gospel Noise), personal interview (Gospel Stories), and found footage. Each element relates to Jesus. The work touches on the shadow of Judaism and Israeliness, the one whose name shall not be spoken, Yeshua Ben Yosef – “the most internationally successful Israeli”. (*)

In this solo exhibition the artist created a space featuring family portraits and a large distorted portrait of Moshe Dayan (A former General and Politician, once a visual synonym of Israel with his famous eye patch) with video projected on them, creating a strange and troubling domestic/national spook show

The Lodger

2012

after painting a frame from a movie called the last Harem, the artist was curious to see what will happen if he would project the sequence the painting was part from onto the painting. The result was striking. the persistence of the painting over the video combined with the persistence of the video over the painting created a hybrid giving movement to the static painting as well as giving a physical body to the bodyless video.
